Social Impact

Springs grows at an altitude of 400 meters in the Suchitepéquez region and is among the finest cocoas near Lake Atitlán.

It is processed into fine cocoa blocks with great care and traditional craftsmanship by a women's collective from the region. Every step is done consciously, respectfully, and with deeply rooted knowledge.

The name was born in a moment of wonder. Anahata Cacao founder Adelina and the co-founder of Cacaosource stood in a lush valley full of coffee, zapotillos, bananas and other crops – a true agroforestry dream.

Four natural springs meander through this verdant mountain paradise overlooking the Pacific coast. Juan, the family's grandfather, told us about this special place – and we knew immediately:

"Your cacao is one of the best we've tasted in a long time. We're helping you share this treasure with the world."

Springs combines a deep bitterness with coffee and banana notes. Its high fat content – thanks to the abundant water of the village of Las Victorias – gives it a special creaminess. Its genetic lineage has been preserved from industrial hybridization, which maintains its original strength and purity.
